EVENT OVERVIEW:
The Glasgow School of Art, School of Fine Art [SoFA], presents an evening of performance, intervention, sculpture and music hosted by the Masters of Fine Arts Department. Following the MFA Open Studios on 19, April from 8 to 11PM the public is invited for refreshments and temporal interventions at the McLellan Galleries. This Juried event will feature time, space and audience intervention works submitted from the greater community of Glasgow School of Art. Staff, current students from all departments and alumni are all emphatically encouraged to submit to this Juried event. From the Jury's selections an event score will be composed, with an effort to conduct an evening experience that reflects the diversity and exuberance of GSA’s artistic community and showcase its contribution to the grist of Glasgow’s thriving artistic community. The evening will culminate either live music or a DJ. Drinks and lite fare will be served as budget/sponsorship permits. The MFA's participation in [Gi] has been billed on all calendars pertaining to [Gi] advertising and on their website - so we expect a large turnout for all aspects of the day. If you are or have been a part of the Glasgow School of Art community, this presents an exciting way to be involved with Glasgow international.

The event will be free but ticketed - Tickets will be available the day of the event during the mfaOpenStudios.

OPEN TO:
All GSA students in any Department or School, Alumni & Faculty. If selected we would ask that you be available to attend the rehearsal and clean-up dates. We encourage as well those wanting to participate from afar to email ideas for audience performed actions. See APPLICATION GUIDELINES for details.
